Each of us as human beings have been placed here to solve specific problems in the world. We come encoded with special gifts, talents and abilities that carry solutions for the world. There is a certain flavour and seasoning each one brings to the table that no other can deliver, however many similarities exist between two people. We are each the missing link to the multitude of challenges humanity faces, and until those gifts and abilities in us are discovered, the solutions that we carry for the world’s problems continue to remain locked, and unutilised. And the world continues to suffer for it.
You see, among the millions of drinks manufactured worldwide, there is none that can quench the particular thirst that can only be quenched by water. Only water can quench the thirst for water – for every single human being on earth. And no matter how many times you have drunk water, you can never get to the point of never needing to drink it again, unless of course you’ve stopped breathing. Only coffee can fill in the void that its taste and flavour bring, and can satisfy. And every other drink equally satisfies a different thirst. That is how powerfully each one of us can influence our world. There is a particular thirst only you can quench, and for as long as you remain ignorant or unaware of this, someone somewhere is dying of ‘thirst’.
It all boils down to one thing. What’s your specific style? What need are you cut out to meet and are you meeting it? The world is teeming daily with unfulfilled needs, and a surprisingly great number of people who hold the solutions but will carry them to the grave. Yes, there may be a million writers in the world, but your specific hue in the literally canvas is missing to complete the big picture, if you are not living it out. And someone’s need remains unmet in the meantime. Every song that has been sung has already been heard. What different tune is your melody belting?
It is also not just about discovering what we are here for. The essence of life is all about refining the gems we discover within us until they sparkle and shine, allowing us to keep serving excellence to the world. We need to get to the point where others acknowledge that we have stood the test of time and always deliver on our promise and quality time and time again. Imitating others, as we all know can sell for a while, before it is eventually found out to be fake. The gullible and those who are yet to develop a knack for the real deal will unfortunately be hoodwinked and taken advantage of by the imitations, but after that, no one will want to give it a second look. Your guess is as good as mine that it will only go downhill from there.
Why opt to go this way when you have the chance to solve the problems you were originally created to solve? The buck stops with you. There’s no need to join the throng of people already enriching the graves further with unused talent and skill.
